2017 London Borough of Waltham Forest Arts Development Grant

A £3060 grant to deliver a festival of  free community book arts workshops and interactive events within Waltham Forest in June 2017

 

2017 Central Parade Incubator Awardee

A six month studio residency In Walthamstow, London

 to continue the development of Object Book

 

2015-2016 Wandle Studio Prize (Residency)

One year residency comprising of free studio space (worth £6000), and £12,000 bursary to aid start up of creative business/arts practice and aid creative revival of Merton Abbey Mills (awarded by Merton Abbey Mill and Wimbledon College of Art;

 

2015 Penguin Books Sculpture Prize

Commissioned by Penguin Books to create a book sculpture out of the Little Black Classics books for their 80th anniversary celebrations. Exhibited initially in Foyles flagship bookshop

 

2014 University of the Arts London Taipei Residency (Shortlisted)

An all-inclusive residency to create a book work in collaboration with students in Taipei.

Library Experience

In the early years of my practice, I gained several years experience working in a range of libraries, including academic art libraries, University of Birmingham and the Bodleian, in roles including school assistant librarian and cataloguer with a special interest in special collections care and accessibility for collections.
